Staff members celebrated the UC Bluerock anniversary with a Minions themed party.

Sutter Urgent Care Antioch is celebrating four years of serving the East Contra Costa community and is dedicated to providing high quality, accessible and affordable care for patients in the East Bay. The facility treated about 100 patients a month when they first opened and now care for more than 700 patients a month.

“I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in a short amount of time,” says Urgent Care Medical Director Jeffrey Leinen, M.D., FACEP. “We’ve been able to increase the scope of care by offering imaging and lab services. Providing episodic care is one of the cornerstones of how patients now receive health care.”

In April 2015, Sutter Urgent Care Antioch added two additional exam rooms, providing the Urgent Care department with more flexibility, space and help with the increasing flow of patients. To keep up with patient demand the Urgent Care expanded its hours from 1 to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We’ve become an integral part of the community and our patients are very grateful for the services we provide,” says Dr. Leinen. “People thank us for being open seven days a week and they’ve come to know and trust us when they need convenient, friendly care.”

Model of Success
The success of the Antioch location helped spawn the Castro Valley Urgent Care in 2014 and the Milvia Urgent Care in Berkeley in 2015. All three locations are growing and expanding their operating hours.
