Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation

Roger was named interim CEO in 2016, after serving four years as CFO of the Peninsula Coastal Region, working closely with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. He is currently CFO of all medical foundations in the Bay Area Operating Unit. Roger will continue to serve in this role in addition to his new responsibilities at SEBMF.

Roger has more than 20 years of senior management experience in health care, primarily in finance and operational management of multi-specialty group practices. Prior to joining Sutter Health, he was CFO and Vice President of Ancillary Services for Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, part of the Sharp Healthcare system in San Diego.

 

Sam SantoroSamuel J. Santoro, D.O., FACOG
President and CEO, East Bay Physicians Medical Group

Dr. Santoro was named President and CEO of East Bay Physicians Medical Group (EBPMG), affiliated with Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation, in 2011. He has more than 12 years of physician leadership experience at Sutter Health, previously serving as President/CEO of Sutter Regional Medical Group from 2002 to 2010 and Divisional Vice President of Sutter Medical Group-Solano Division in 2011.

A board certified OB/GYN physician, Dr. Santoro began practicing in 1987 with the Solano Regional Medical Group. He served as SRMG’s 1st Vice-President from 1995 to 2001 and President/CEO in 2002, when he helped lead the group’s affiliation with Sutter Health. Since 2011, Dr. Santoro has helped guide the rapid growth and development of EBPMG, a multi-specialty medical group consisting of more than 300 clinicians. He became a certified Lean leader in 2014 and is a 2009 graduate of Sutter Health’s Leadership Academy.

Dr. Santoro received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University. He went on to complete his internship and residency in OB/GYN at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Calif. After completing his active duty military obligation in 1987, he and his family settled in Solano County.
